Procrastination alludes to the act of intentionally and constantly putting off assignments which should be done. Individuals who procrastinate tend to self-mislead their acts by doing different assignments which are insignificant to pass time, and afterwards have no opportunity to do the more difficult and essential assignments. In time, this turns into a negative behavior pattern that is hard to escape, and will influence the individual’s standard of work, just as his emotions or desires.

Where does procrastination come from?

There are heaps of manners by which the act of procrastination can develop. It is a certain thing that you won’t procrastinate dependably for the same reasons. At times, you procrastinate in light of the fact that you believe you have such a large number of things at the forefront of your thoughts and procrastinating makes you feel free. Be that as it may, on other occasions, you will simply feel apathetic or tired, and not in the state of mind to do it.

Below are various reasons for procrastination and the manners in which you can react to them.

Laziness

There are situations when we tend to procrastinate in light of the fact that we don’t have the physical or the enthusiastic power to work. Idleness is an exceptionally perilous thing, and it can drag you in laziness without taking note. At the point when laziness occurs, even the simplest assignment may require a ton of work. Why? Since you won’t have the level of energy that you require so as to play out that assignment, some may even say that the assignment is excessively troublesome and they will hesitate just to preserve energy. Is art a talent or a skill?

Each individual has certain skills and talent that makes us different from one another. We frequently utilize the terms talent and and skill reciprocally, without knowing the way that these are not quite the same as each other. Talent is an inborn ability or regular inclination of an individual which is frequently hidden and needs acknowledgment, that is to say, being good in a specific activity, without actually learning or acquiring it. In contrast to skill, which is a learned ability, and it tends to be developed in somebody in the event that he/she put his time and endeavors in it. By the term talent, we mean an extraordinary ability to accomplish something controlled by an individual nature. It is something, which you do the best without putting additional endeavors into it.

Talent is an inborn quality within the person. Usually hidden and raw, which needs acknowledgment at the opportune time. It very well may be enhanced after some time if efforts are made the right way. Talent is innate, just a few people have really got it. Since it occurs naturally, a talent is additionally observed as a raw ability which can be developed and improved over time with direction like guidance and inspiration. All of us are brought into the world with a unique quality; that is talent. Not just in the field of study, an individual may have talent in singing, joking, cooking, acting, playing football, crafting and painting, and so on. If you set a child free and alone, he will take part in the action, he prefers most, or he is best in. It regularly occurs with numerous individuals that their talent stays plain as a result of the absence of legitimate direction, support and opportunity to showcase it.

Skill alludes to ability or expertise in playing out a task, gotten by an individual through deliberate learning, practice or experience. It is the result of ceaseless endeavors and improvements made to gain proficiency.

Skill enables you to play out a task effectively. As there are no criteria for gaining skills, it tends to be rehearsed by any individual, yet it requires loads of diligent work, time and different assets of the individual to develop it.

Gathering people: We are all demi experts!

Gathering people: We are all demi experts!

Do you have different groups of buddies? For example, a high school group, a college group, a close co-worker group, an online group, etc.

Is one of them an expert on something? Maybe they know how to do pottery, oil painting, cocktail, marketing, startup, yoga, or travel planning?

They are not yet real experts in one field, but certainly because they love a particular subject, they have spent time to research about it more than we do. They are already so called a “demi expert”, no joking. You too, you are also a demi expert in a certain area. So why do not we learn from each other?

This idea is all about setting up a coffee group for a mini presentation each week. Each person will spend about 10 minutes presenting one of his favorite areas. He would spend ahead some time to gather up the knowledge he has, and present it in a way that is intensive enough yet easy to understand. The following week will be another person’s speech on a different topic. Imagine, with 10 minutes a week, we’ll get a lot of information from a many different demi experts, interesting?

If this benefit is not enough to convince you, lets take a look at the list of benefits I presented below:

Being a speaker, for example in the field of online marketing, he will be able to:

  • Gather a comprehensive online marketing knowledge he had read which were scattering across the internet into a full set.
  • In the process of structuring the speech he will find ways to add information in some of the arrays he had not known about yet, eg online marketing via emails. This is an opportunity for him to better understand his favorite field.
  • Develop presentation skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Get a chance to talk about his favorite subject.
  • Have the opportunity to listen to other people’s opinions about his favorite subject, gain an alliance or expand his hobby.

About "100 new things"

The Journey Begins

About “Unbound Wallflowers”:

“Wallflower” is a species of cabbage family planted in Europe with flowers of yellow, orange, red and occasionally with a little brown, blooming in early spring. The name itself derives from eponymous plant’s unusual growth pattern, against a wall as a stake or in cracks and gaps in the stone walls.

That’s also the reason to define people who join parties and gatherings but always avoid the crowd and the limelight as wallflowers. They usually just stand against the wall and watch other people talk and dance rather than mingle. People often identify this word with introverts. And although it is true that introverts love to be wallflowers, so do all of us, when we do not want to or even think about stepping out of the ordinary.

We actually have heard a lot about living to experience, challenge, explore and develop ourselves. But those words flickered through us then disappeared in the midst of everyday’s work, study, households, children, emotions. At some rare time we stop to make a something just enough to recharge energy, that’s all.

So I create a recipe called “100 new little things”. This site is where I share it to you.

We will do something new every week, from fun things like writing, drawing, pottery, to thinking differently, solving problems and dealing with emotions. You will have the opportunity to experience, challenge, explore, change the way you think, turn lively, diverse, thoughtful, or in short to be a better you.

We are wallflowers that unbind.

You are still yourself, and not only that, you are a European flower that will unbind from the wall whenever you want. Or maybe you’re still against the wall, but it’s because you’re comfortable being like that, not because you’re scared of the crowd.

“We often overestimate what we can do in a day, but always underestimate what we can do in a year.” – Unknown.

I am sure that by remembering to do new things constantly, though small, you will see your world changes. Keeping the state of a child, you will love to try new things, feel easy and necessary to enjoy the sweetness of the world. Maybe you will not feel the change in one day, but from a few months to a year, you will see miracles coming like stardust from a wand.

“The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

And of course you will have a list of 100 of your own. That list may be different from what I shared, because you may not be a yellow flower, but orange, but red, but occasionally brown. You can refer to my list in the “100 crazy things blog”. Just have fun, baby.

This recipe is for:

  • Those want to “get out of the box”, want to be a thinker, want to explore the self, to find freedom and creativity, to enjoy every moment of life in the most delicate and complete way.
  • Those are introverted that want to unbound and become better.
  • Those are trapped in dull and stagnant everyday life.
  • Those want to erase the stress of work, education, family, children.
  • Those are happy or at a good state, and have enough energy to do something new and fun and make life even brighter.

Welcome to this small community.

You may ask why? Here are the benefits:

First, I have been trying new things for years. Those are just new small things that I have happened to think of, such as to walk around all the strange roads in the blocks behind my house to see what are there, to sit down and closely watch the dead leaves forming a colourful summer carpet, to read a book in a field that I was not used to, or to gather some close friends at a nice coffee shop talking about any specific knowledge.

And guess what, I found out that these things are little fun thing that brightened up my days. I just discovered something I am good at that I had never thought of before.

Plus, you never know there would be one small thing that could lead to a bigger thing. Such as, after I read a book in philosophy I got so addicted to the field and ended up reading so many related books that deeply changed my thoughts. You too, you may find one of your small things will not just to light a day, but to light your months and years.

Or it is simply just a nice water colour drawing day with a “very-you result” that you will share it over your social media, or privately with your Messengers’ close friends.

Easy or difficult?

The choice is yours.

But since these are “new” things, not to mention its nature is easy or difficult, at the beginning you ought to have some kind of “move your arse” attitude in order to kickstart it. This is where things work: you already have a colony that you call it “yourself”, now just unbind it, get just one step out of the comfort zone, feel it. If it really leads to somewhere then you create a path, if not, do another thing in another direction. All of your tiniest moves count! It is just as good as extending your territory, am I right?

Don’t worry, you have a brick wall behind to back you up!
